Field Application Scientist, SynBio and NGS Panel Design (China)

What you will do

• Design NGS panels for customers in China and participate in discussions about specialized panel requirements.
• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical consultation for DNA synthesis products, including genes, oligo pools, and mutant libraries.
• Develop product-based research solutions for antibody drug discovery, cell therapy, gene therapy, and AI-driven drug discovery applications.
• Build trusted technical relationships with key customers, follow their R&D projects, and improve customer satisfaction.
• Collect customer needs and market trends to support product development and marketing strategy.
• Collaborate with sales, global design, R&D, and production teams to demonstrate solutions and resolve complex technical issues.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, bioengineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years or more of R&D or application support experience in biotechnology companies, CROs, or pharmaceutical companies.
• Knowledge of basic Linux operations, bioinformatics, oligonucleotide synthesis, gene synthesis, related processes, and quality control.
• Experience applying DNA synthesis products in at least two areas: antibody drug development, cell therapy, gene therapy, or AI in drug discovery.
• Hands-on experience with molecular cloning, plasmid construction, PCR, cell culture, and transfection or transduction.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in Chinese and English, with strong customer service, problem-solving, teamwork, and project management abilities.
