Salary: $131,750–$178,250 per year in Palo Alto and San Francisco; $119,000–$161,000 per year in Century City, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Seattle

What you will do

  • Oversee firmwide litigation docketing, calendaring, and e-discovery operations.
  • Manage and develop a core team of docketing and e-discovery professionals, including hiring, training, evaluations, budgeting, and work allocation.
  • Maintain service levels, accurate deadline calculations, docket database integrity, and quality-control procedures.
  • Lead the rollout and adoption of centralized docketing processes and participate in selecting and testing calendaring and e-discovery technologies.
  • Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local court rules and e-filing requirements.
  • Advise attorneys and staff on litigation support procedures and approve court-related chargebacks and invoices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant litigation support experience.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local court rules.
  • Expertise in CM/ECF procedures and docketing or calendaring processes.
  • Proficiency with docket databases such as ALN/eDockets, CompuLaw, or CPI, as well as Microsoft Office and PACER.
  • Strong communication, analytical, documentation, and training-material development skills.
  • JD, master’s or bachelor’s degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent education and experience preferred.

Nice to have

  • Managerial experience in the docketing or e-discovery department of a large law firm.
  • Experience with relevant professional organizations and court-rule changes.
