Smart Contract Engineer (Web3)

Location: Remote; New York (hybrid). Remote work is available, with compensation adjusted based on work location; employees outside the US may be hired through an EOR.

Base salary: $180,000–$250,000 per year, excluding benefits, token, and equity incentives.

hirify.global is a systems engineering and research company building Monad, a high-performance, EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain.

What you will do

• Implement smart contracts optimized for the resources and throughput of the Monad client.
• Identify needs in the application developer ecosystem and address them with the core engineering team.
• Collaborate directly with external application and infrastructure teams to unblock integrations.
• Design and implement application-layer primitives enabled by a high-performance EVM.
• Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and documentation.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years writing smart contracts in Solidity.
• Prior blockchain engineering experience at a Layer 1, Layer 2, or infrastructure project.
• Expertise with Foundry and Hardhat and a deep understanding of application-layer security vulnerabilities.
• Backend engineering experience in C, C++, or Rust.
• Experience building a significant product or system from scratch, preferably with users.
• Strong communication, system design, practical problem-solving, maintainability, and rigorous development skills.
