Senior Software Engineer (Golang)

Location: Barcelona, Spain; hybrid, with up to 3 days per week from home. Remote work is available from within the candidate's country, with up to 25% of working time abroad.

Salary: €50,000–€55,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance software systems for electronic money institution services.
• Build and improve automated testing, including unit and integration tests, to prevent regressions.
• Contribute to B2B2B and B2B2C onboarding portal flows.
• Improve monitoring and visibility into transaction errors and bottlenecks with tools such as Grafana.
• Analyze requirements, evaluate solution options, and collaborate with the Product Owner, Tech Lead, and stakeholders.
• Participate in code reviews, roadmap discussions, and technical improvements.

Requirements

• Senior-level software engineering experience, with 2–3 years of professional experience stated in the posting.
• Strong proficiency in Go and knowledge of software design principles and patterns.
• Hands-on experience with hexagonal architecture and Domain-Driven Design.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and working with Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, SQL and NoSQL databases, Redis, Kafka, and Docker.
• Fluent English required. Strong written communication, asynchronous collaboration, and self-management skills.
• Sound judgment when using AI tools and ability to take projects through completion.

Nice to have

• Python or gRPC experience.
• AWS and cloud-based web technologies.
• CI/CD pipeline experience.
• Spanish and/or French.
