Senior Software Engineer - Backend (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Bordeaux or Paris, France

What you will do

• Solve scaling bottlenecks in critical backend services.
• Design services that support increased traffic and high-scale workloads.
• Deploy new features to production through progressive rollouts and feature flags.
• Investigate and resolve production issues in services owned by the team.
• Collaborate with the team to prioritize and plan upcoming projects.

Requirements

• Significant experience with one or more programming languages.
• Ability to design architecture for high-scale systems.
• Strong focus on code simplicity and performance.
• BS, MS, PhD in a scientific field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience using AI coding tools in daily workflows and validating and refining AI-generated output.
• Ability to design AI backend systems while considering quality, cost, and latency tradeoffs.
