Internship - Manufacturing IT

Location: Petaling Jaya, Malaysia — KL COE Office

What you will do

• Support manufacturing IT application management and daily KL COE operations.
• Assist with AI development, testing, and maintenance of HDD manufacturing software applications using Python.
• Contribute to transformation, simplification, and modernization initiatives.
• Provide insights on emerging technologies and opportunities for adoption.
• Recommend process improvements and support software deployment and user feedback evaluation.
• Work collaboratively with minimal supervision on projects with tight deadlines.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent program.
• Good knowledge of C#/.NET, VB.NET, LINQ, Python, Winsurf, and MS SQL Server.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively.
• Good written and verbal English proficiency is required.

Nice to have

• Interest in manufacturing-related environments.
• Knowledge of additional programming languages or frameworks.
• Experience preparing test cases and executing test plans.
• Ability to document requirements and specifications.
• Full-stack development skills.
