Legal Operations Manager

Location: Torrance, California, United States. The role requires eligibility under U.S. ITAR regulations, including U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, protected individual status, or eligibility to obtain the required authorizations.

Salary: $140,000–$159,400 USD annually for roles hired in California.

What you will do

• Lead contracting playbooks supporting departments including Supply Chain and IT.
• Select and implement automation and legal technology tools for contracting, compliance tracking, governance, and routine workflows.
• Manage corporate governance documents, approvals, signatures, records, retention policies, and audit readiness in Carta and related systems.
• Own the company’s equity program, including stock options, RSUs, grants, exercises, transfers, cancellations, cap tables, dilution tracking, and equity reporting.
• Partner with the CFO, Controller, Director of FP&A, Legal, Finance, HR, Compliance, and external counsel on equity administration and corporate governance.
• Support SEC compliance, 409A valuations, financing rounds, M&A due diligence, multi-site operations, and user training for legal software.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in equity administration, legal operations, or a related field, or 3 years with a master’s or graduate degree.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Legal Studies, or a related field.
• Understanding of SEC rules, 409A valuations, and equity compensation compliance requirements.
• Experience implementing automation tools and legal software.
• Strong organizational, communication, prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Must meet applicable U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements.

Nice to have

• Paralegal certification.
• Hands-on experience with Carta or similar equity management platforms.
