What you will do

  • Implement and evaluate advanced classical and quantum algorithms based on technical papers and research from Quantum Algorithms Scientists.
  • Translate algorithmic research into efficient, practical, and workable code.
  • Collaborate with full-time staff and affiliated PhD students in a small research team.
  • Support activities contributing to the growth and success of hirify.global.

Requirements

  • Good understanding of algorithms and algorithmic analysis.
  • Strong programming skills, including Python.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field.
  • Ability to work flexibly and independently while taking a pragmatic approach to producing efficient, workable code.

Nice to have

  • Formal or independent study in quantum computing or quantum information theory.
  • Experience with quantum development environments such as Cirq, Qiskit, or QuEST, or with implementing quantum and novel classical algorithms.
  • Knowledge of quantum chemistry or materials science with experience using packages such as Wannier90 or PySCF.
  • Experience with combinatorial optimization algorithms and software such as Gurobi or SAT solvers.
  • Software engineering experience, including version control and CI/CD.
