Senior Associate (Crypto Venture Capital)

Location: Global-NAG2; full-time remote, with occasional travel for conferences and meetings

Gate operates a major digital asset exchange and supports cryptocurrency adoption through Gate Ventures’ investment activities.

What you will do

• Source potential investments through networking, research, and proactive outreach.
• Conduct due diligence on protocols, teams, markets, token models, and early-stage crypto projects.
• Build financial models, analyze on-chain data, and prepare investment memos and recommendations.
• Support deal negotiations, term sheet drafting, and closing processes.
• Monitor portfolio company performance and assist founders with operational needs.
• Contribute to market research, investment theses, pipeline management, and internal reporting.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in venture capital, investment banking, private equity, crypto operations, or research.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency with on-chain tools such as Dune and Nansen.
• Knowledge of token economics and cryptocurrency market trends.
• Experience evaluating early-stage crypto projects and identifying emerging narratives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of investment recommendations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Prior crypto venture capital or protocol experience.
• Active participation in the crypto ecosystem through protocol contributions, public writing, or community involvement.
• CFA or a similar qualification.
