What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services and REST and gRPC APIs for AI-driven conversational experiences.
- Build and optimize asynchronous Python applications for real-time audio and text processing at scale.
- Enable low-latency integration between mobile and web clients and the AI backend platform.
- Drive architecture decisions focused on scalability, fault tolerance, performance, and reliability SLAs.
- Collaborate with AI/ML, mobile, DevOps, and product teams on end-to-end solutions.
- Maintain CI/CD workflows, smooth deployments, and high code quality.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience designing and developing scalable, distributed backend systems.
- Deep expertise in Python concurrency and execution models, including WSGI, ASGI, asyncio, multiprocessing, threading, and GIL.
- Production experience with asynchronous Python applications, Pydantic, FastAPI, RESTful APIs, and gRPC services.
- Strong understanding of API versioning, compatibility, performance optimization, scalability, and workload distribution.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, DynamoDB, MongoDB, Kafka, RabbitMQ, and AWS SQS, including data modeling and query optimization.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS cloud-native deployments, CI/CD, observability, distributed tracing, metrics, logging, and monitoring.
Nice to have
- Experience with Go, Rust, Java, Scala, or Kotlin.
- Background in audio/video streaming, real-time communication systems, or dataframe libraries such as Pandas, Polars, or Daft.
- Familiarity with LLM integration libraries and AI model serving frameworks.
- Experience building data-driven applications, pipelines, or ETL processes with Spark, Flink, Airflow, or Dagster.
- Contributions to open-source projects on GitHub.
