Java Automation Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Review manual test cases and identify opportunities for automation.
• Implement and maintain Java-based browser and backend automation tests.
• Design complex test scenarios covering edge cases, boundary conditions, multi-currency flows, and state transitions.
• Use AI tools for coding, refactoring, bug analysis, documentation, code review, and test-result reporting.
• Configure and optimize CI/CD pipelines and standardize automation solutions.
• Plan, estimate, prioritize, and deliver testing commitments on time.

Requirements

• 3+ years of full-time experience in Java automation.
• Strong knowledge of Java Core 8+, Playwright, RestAssured or Retrofit, SQL/NoSQL, OpenAPI, JSON Schema, HTML, CSS, DOM, and XPath/CSS selectors.
• Proficiency with inline autocomplete, chat-based AI generation, and agentic coding modes such as Cursor Composer.
• Ability to detect and manually correct AI-generated code hallucinations, validate debugging hypotheses, and ensure test robustness.
• Expert browser DevTools usage, deep client-server architecture knowledge, and strong understanding of QA theory, test strategies, and industry standards.
• Ability to work independently, estimate and organize tasks, maintain test documentation and reports, and collaborate effectively.

Nice to have

• Experience with Selenium-based frameworks, Kafka, Elasticsearch, or Locust for performance automation.
