Electrical Design Validation Engineer (AI Infrastructure)

What you will do

• Develop detailed test plans to characterize and validate systems, subassemblies, and components against industry or internal specifications.
• Collaborate with electrical, thermal, power, optics, software, manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams on hardware bring-up and contract manufacturing NPIE.
• Support electrical qualifications, debugging, test scripting, test equipment procurement, resource planning, and test schedule execution.
• Analyze test results, identify product design issues, log bugs, recommend corrective actions, drive resolution, and verify fixes.
• Review and release test reports and evaluate technical readiness before manufacturing release.
• Improve test cost, consistency, and efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 0–5 years of experience in electrical design validation for telecom or data center product development.
• Solid understanding of networking product design and operation.
• Strong knowledge of hardware environmental stress testing through voltage and temperature margin using automated Python test scripts.
• Experience configuring networking products with operating systems and traffic generators such as IXIA or Smartbits to test traffic, protocols, critical components, optical modules, interfaces, and data and control paths.
• Ability to automate test setups controlling devices under test, environmental chambers, traffic generators, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment.
• Familiarity with signal integrity, power integrity, reliability, and quality.
• Hands-on hardware bring-up experience with I2C, PCIe, SMBUS, SERDES, and SoC.
• Working knowledge of optical module types including OSFP and QSFP; experience configuring networking products using standalone diagnostics and operating systems; and experience debugging with high-speed oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, a problem-solving mindset, ability to manage technical risks and tradeoffs, and ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
