What you will do

• Develop platform and board-level architectures, requirements, schedules, and cost targets.
• Select components and create schematics, FPGA designs, source code, and engineering documentation.
• Support PCB layout, software integration, system testing, product qualification, and regulatory compliance.
• Debug hardware and determine root causes of technical issues using laboratory equipment.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, system test, marketing, and manufacturing teams through the product lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience specifying, designing, debugging, and bringing up platform or test cards in a laboratory.
• Strong digital board design, basic signal integrity, PCB layout, and schematic capture skills.
• Experience with Cadence, ORCAD, or Mentor Graphics tools.
• Hands-on experience with DMMs, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Cadence Concept, Allegro CAD, board power distribution, FPGAs, PLDs, and Verilog.
• Programming experience with C, Python, Visual Basic, Perl, TCL, or RTL.
• Experience with signal integrity and power integrity simulation tools, timing analysis, and functional simulation.
• Completion of several board and system development projects.
