Electrical Engineer III, Design Assurance

Salary: $136,500–$191,500 USD per year; base salary only, with equity grants considered part of total compensation.

What you will do

• Bring up, characterize, and validate new circuit boards against requirements for airside and groundside platforms.
• Perform worst-case circuit analysis from schematic calculations and simulation through post-layout checks and bench validation, feeding measured results back into the analysis.
• Write and execute test plans, procedures, and reports.
• Design and build test fixtures, hardware-in-the-loop setups, and automated test scripts.
• Run qualification and reliability testing, including thermal, vibration, HALT/HASS, and support root-cause analysis of failures.
• Provide design-for-test input to design engineers during product development.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in electrical hardware engineering with hands-on bench validation of circuit boards.
• Experience with board bring-up and characterization, including writing test plans and reports.
• Proficiency with oscilloscopes, logic and protocol analyzers, power supplies, electronic loads, DMMs, and spectrum analyzers.
• Board-level design experience with schematics and PCBs designed independently; test fixtures and test boards count.
• Circuit analysis across analog, digital, and power supply circuits, including hand calculations, tolerance analysis, and SPICE simulation using LTspice or similar.
• Test automation and data analysis experience in Python or similar.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.

Nice to have

• Signal and power integrity simulation using HyperLynx, SIwave, or similar, plus bench measurement with TDR, VNA, or eye diagrams.
• Hands-on WCCA and component derating experience on production hardware.
• Previous HALT/HASS, environmental, or EMC pre-compliance testing experience.
• Production test development experience with a contract manufacturer.
• Background in UAV, aerospace, automotive, defense, or medical device hardware.
