Senior Trading Software Engineer (C++)

Location: Hybrid, requiring two days per week in an office in Chicago, Boulder, New York, or Singapore

Salary: $175,000–$200,000 per year, plus potential discretionary bonuses

What you will do

• Solve low-latency trading problems and optimize performance-critical code.
• Design and implement real-time trading solutions and new platform features.
• Improve application performance, network optimization, and platform tuning.
• Collaborate with traders, quantitative researchers, hardware teams, and networking teams.
• Use data to identify optimization opportunities and enhance performance architecture.
• Apply rigorous code reviews, automated testing, and scalable engineering practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience with modern C++.
• Full-cycle software development experience in trading or another high-performance domain.
• Strong network programming knowledge, including raw sockets, packet handling, and latency tuning.
• Experience debugging, profiling, and optimizing complex systems.
• Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments where reliability and performance are critical.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Nice to have

• Experience with Java.
