What you will do
- Support new product introduction from a strategic sourcing perspective.
- Identify, evaluate, negotiate with, and manage suppliers of solar panels, inverters, passive electronic components, and auxiliary parts.
- Develop sourcing plans and cost-control strategies for solar-powered devices and energy storage systems.
- Lead price negotiations and contract discussions covering technical specifications, delivery schedules, and acceptance criteria.
- Optimize procurement through competitive pricing, bulk purchasing, supplier consolidation, and supply chain localization.
- Coordinate with R&D, Project Management, Quality, Operations, and Finance to resolve quality disputes and delivery issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, International Trade, or a related field.
- More than 10 years of procurement experience, including at least 5 years in electronics sourcing or procurement.
- Established vendor and manufacturing-partner network, with specialized market knowledge.
- Strong understanding of OEM, JDM, and ODM business models and passive electronic component specifications.
- Proficiency with procurement software, ERP systems, and data analysis tools, plus strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Professional English proficiency required, with experience in international procurement or cross-border negotiations.
Nice to have
- Experience sourcing photovoltaic components and energy storage systems.
- Knowledge of photovoltaic certifications and RoHS compliance.
