Developer Advocate (AI)

Location: Remote, but must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area

hirify.global develops APIs and tools for cloud-native distributed applications and stewards the open-source Dapr project alongside its commercial hirify.global Catalyst platform.

What you will do

• Grow contributor engagement, adoption, and community activity across GitHub, Discord, and other channels.
• Moderate the Dapr Discord, answer technical questions, recognize contributors, and foster a welcoming community.
• Create blog posts, tutorials, architectural guides, sample applications, demos, and reference architectures for Dapr and AI agent use cases.
• Plan and deliver technical webinars, workshops, live demos, conference talks, podcasts, and community events.
• Own the Dapr and hirify.global YouTube presence, including scripting, recording, editing, and publishing videos.
• Gather developer feedback and communicate friction points, feature requests, and success stories to Engineering and Product.

Requirements

• Prior experience in Developer Relations, Developer Advocacy, or community management.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with strong knowledge of distributed systems, cloud-native technologies, Kubernetes, or microservices.
• Familiarity with Dapr or similar projects such as Temporal, Camunda, or Orkes.
• Demonstrated experience creating blogs, videos, talks, or open-source contributions that gained traction.
• Experience moderating Discord or Slack communities, growing open-source projects, or running meetups.
• Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Nice to have

• Conference speaking experience, including events such as KubeCon or Microsoft Build.
• Experience with AI agents, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or workflow orchestration.
• Existing relationships in cloud-native or AI developer communities.
