QA Automation Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Test products and solutions across platforms, functions, features, solutions, and regression scenarios.
• Perform manual testing and build or enhance scripted test automation.
• Design and maintain testbeds, qualify software releases, and deliver quality metrics.
• Collaborate with proof-of-concept engineering on customer-specific testing efforts.
• Work with software, hardware, and support engineering teams to reproduce faults and update test scripts to prevent recurring bugs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant industry experience in testing, QA, or solutions testing, including hands-on testing experience.
• Proficiency in networking technologies, software, network protocols, network designs, and deployments, with hands-on experience with diverse network operating systems including IOS, IOS-XR, EOS, and Junos.
• Proficiency with well-known traffic generators and network test hardware and software solutions.
• Ability to write effective test plans and debug and troubleshoot complex hardware and software networking issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Problem-solving skills, initiative, willingness to learn, and customer empathy.

Nice to have

• Experience with SONiC or another open-source operating system.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, programming languages such as C and C++, automation tools such as Ansible, or AI development tools such as Gemini, Copilot, and Augment.
• Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and databases such as SQL and NoSQL.
