Test Engineer (Networking)

What you will do

• Test products and solutions across platform, functional, feature, solution, and regression testing.
• Perform manual testing and build or enhance test automation with scripting.
• Design and maintain testbeds, qualify software releases, and deliver quality metrics.
• Support customer-specific testing efforts during proofs of concept.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, and support engineering teams to reproduce faults and update test scripts to prevent recurring bugs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant industry experience in testing, QA, or solutions testing, with hands-on testing experience.
• Strong knowledge of networking technologies, protocols, network designs, deployments, and network operating systems including IOS, IOS-XR, EOS, and Junos.
• Hands-on experience with traffic generators and network test hardware and software solutions.
• Ability to write test plans and debug complex hardware and software networking issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with SONiC or another open-source operating system.
• Proficiency in Python, C or C++, Ansible, or AI development tools such as Gemini, Copilot, or Augment.
• Familiarity with Docker and SQL or NoSQL databases.
