Assembly Technician

Location: Onsite in El Segundo, California, United States; travel 10–25% for equipment installations and servicing.

Salary: $70,000–$120,000 per year base salary.

What you will do

• Own the mechanical assembly process for current and future hardware platforms, including documentation and work instructions.
• Assemble, maintain, and operate mechanical and electrical systems in collaboration with the engineering team.
• Perform fabrication, wiring, enclosure and bracket assembly, and field maintenance using fasteners, rivets, fittings, gaskets, adhesives, and coatings.
• Develop manufacturing jigs to improve production speed and yield.
• Document completed hardware, provide redline feedback to keep CAD current, and troubleshoot design proposals.
• Manage BOM-related stock, maintain manufacturing equipment, and follow workplace and low-voltage DC safety practices.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience with electrical and mechanical assembly.
• Associate degree.
• Experience or background in military, aerospace, or automotive environments.
• Demonstrated leadership through management, public service, community organizing, or similar experience.
• Must meet U.S. Government export-control requirements: U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible to obtain the required authorizations.
