Software Engineer (TypeScript)

What you will do

• Own the event-driven ingestion pipeline from S3 uploads through Lambda processors to Postgres.
• Build AI enrichment and research workflows using LLM-backed agents, including contradiction handling and cost and latency optimization.
• Design the public REST API with Hono, typed schemas, and OpenAPI-generated clients.
• Implement authentication, SSO/SAML federation, multi-tenant identity, and authorization.
• Design data models and deliver safe schema evolution without downtime.
• Own service reliability, observability, idempotent processing, back-pressure, and stale-work recovery.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience building and operating production backend systems, ideally distributed or event-driven systems on a major cloud platform.
• Deep SQL and relational data-modeling experience, including indexes, transactions, and safe schema migrations.
• Strong API design skills and a preference for typed, contract-first interfaces.
• Experience owning reliability and observability for production services.
• Fluent English or a strong willingness to become fluent in English.

Nice to have

• Experience with serverless systems at scale or with optimizing the cost and latency of LLM pipelines.
• Security, compliance, or B2B SaaS experience.
• Familiarity with Pulumi or Terraform.
• Some Rust experience.
