Mortgage Loan Closer (Mortgage Operations)

Location: New York, NY; hybrid schedule with in-office work Monday through Wednesday and remote work Thursday and Friday

Salary: $60,000–$65,000 USD base salary annually, with additional uncapped monthly bonuses and estimated total on-target earnings of approximately $75,000–$80,000.

What you will do

• Review pre-closing documents for accurate fees, rates, property details, vesting, and borrower information.
• Enter closing data into the loan origination system and review Compliance Ease reports.
• Verify title reports, endorsements, approved items, borrowers, and property details.
• Conduct compliance reviews of Loan Estimates, TILA requirements, and fraud-prevention tools.
• Prepare and issue Initial Closing Disclosures, coordinate with title companies, and release closing documents.
• Request warehouse funding, authorize loan funding, and resolve post-closing issues.

Requirements

• 3+ years of recent mortgage closing and funding experience.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to stay current on federal, state, investor, and internal policies and procedures.
• Ability to maintain transparency across teammates involved in the customer journey.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Ability to work in the New York office Monday through Wednesday as part of the hybrid schedule.
