Pulsed Power Modeling and Simulation Engineer

Salary: $120,000–$160,000 per year

What you will do

• Generate models of pulsed power systems and components with pulsed power design engineers.
• Create, optimize, and validate models of complex physical processes and phenomena with a multidisciplinary team.
• Use multiphysics and electromagnetics solvers to support system and component design.
• Help design experiments that validate models against real-world data.
• Improve the workflow from concept to final print using simulation-driven optimizations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience with field solver, particle-in-cell, or circuit simulation codes.
• Strong communication skills across disciplines and departments.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with COMSOL, CST, or LTspice.
• Experience with solid-modeling software such as SolidWorks or NX.
• Knowledge of electromagnetic field principles and mechanical design, including GD&T.
• Proficiency with Python or MATLAB; VBA or Java experience is a plus.
