Sr. Electronic Engineer (RF/DC)

Location: Rochester, NY, United States; office and laboratory environment

Salary: $88,425–$147,375 per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.

Develops high-power RF and DC generators used in semiconductor fabrication.

What you will do

• Sustain and improve high-power RF generators operating from 400 kHz to 60 MHz and up to 100 kW.
• Analyze production yield failures and customer returns, identify root causes, and document corrective actions.
• Plan and conduct RF/DC testing, circuit analysis, troubleshooting, modeling, failure duplication, and component-level device analysis.
• Create, analyze, and validate assemblies and concepts for obsolescence replacement and derivative designs.
• Support application engineers with on-site engineering problems and collaborate with design, manufacturing, test, materials, suppliers, and customers.
• Maintain design documentation and configuration control, including Special Product Requests and Engineering Change Orders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Strong interest in understanding failure root causes in RF/DC technology.
• Ability to use laboratory equipment, including meters, oscilloscopes, and function generators.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; ability to lift up to 50 lb.
