Machine Learning Scientist (AI)

Location: On-site in San Francisco, from the office in FiDi

hirify.global builds models and infrastructure for code agents, including optimized small language models for retrieval, application, and code generation.

What you will do

• Advance the capabilities of small, high-performance language models.
• Develop and improve training methodologies and optimization techniques.
• Work on model evaluation and architecture at scale.
• Connect machine learning research with production systems and deployed infrastructure.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and product teams to move technical breakthroughs into production.

Requirements

• Strong background in machine learning, deep learning, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in ML research or production systems.
• Fluency in Python and experience with PyTorch or JAX.
• Experience training and optimizing large or efficient models.
• Strong understanding of applied optimization, distributed training, or model evaluation.
• Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in a quantitative field, or equivalent industry experience.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with code models, retrieval systems, or language modeling.
