Salary: $90,000β$100,000 per year, plus potential equity

is an early-stage moonshot company developing organ-scale reversible cryopreservation to preserve donated organs at subzero temperatures without ice formation and rewarm them uniformly for transplant.
What you will do
- Perform pig organ isolation and ex-vivo evaluation protocols, including perfusion and histology.
- Develop and optimize organ perfusion, preservation, and viability assessment protocols.
- Evaluate organ health following cryopreservation in collaboration with scientists and engineers.
- Survey scientific literature and conduct experiments to answer critical preservation questions.
- Process samples accurately and report data on time.
- Take ownership of specific technical challenges across biology, physics, and chemistry-focused research.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in a STEM field or significant STEM-related training.
- At least 2 years of experience performing complex and demanding laboratory procedures.
- Experience or training in ex-vivo organ perfusion and viability assessment is advantageous.
- Interest or experience in physiology and understanding organ function.
- Creative problem-solving skills and interest in developing novel protocols.
- Willingness to work in an on-site laboratory setting.
