Payroll Specialist V

Location: Remote local in the DMV area; standard hours are 8:00am–5:00pm EST, Monday–Friday. Travel expectations: 5%.

Salary: $41.32–$68.87 per hour.

What you will do

• Process multi-state and international bi-weekly payroll for more than 400 employees.
• Administer timesheets through the Deltek Timekeeping system and coordinate time administration and labor processing.
• Manage benefit deductions, garnishments, payroll records, new-hire information, year-end processing, and payroll account reconciliation.
• Research and resolve payroll errors and employee payroll inquiries in partnership with HR.
• Train employees and managers on the timekeeping system.
• Coordinate with HR, Accounts Payable, and Accounting on payroll-related issues, billing, and invoices.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree.
• Typically 15 years of relevant experience.
• Expertise in multi-state and international payroll preparation and related administration.
• Experience as a payroll specialist in a government contracting environment.
• Experience with Deltek T&E and ADP Workforce systems.
• Ability to work remotely from the DMV area and during EST office hours.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Workday HCM and payroll modules.
• Direct experience implementing Workday Payroll, including configuration, testing, and deployment.
