Sr Tax Payroll Analyst (Payroll Tax)

Location: New York, NY; hybrid schedule with 3 days per week in the office

Salary: $31.75–$43 per hour in New York; $28.60–$38 per hour in Illinois

What you will do

• Oversee and review quarterly and periodic payroll tax filings prepared by ADP.
• Track federal, state, and local payroll tax legislation and update Workday and ADP configurations.
• Reconcile payroll taxes and review annual filings, including Form 941.
• Process W-2 amendments and corrections and resolve payroll tax discrepancies.
• Manage state withholding and unemployment tax accounts, including account setup and closure.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries and create and maintain payroll SOPs.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in payroll processing and quarterly or periodic tax filing review.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Experience with federal, state, and local payroll tax reconciliations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and close attention to detail and data integrity.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with Workday Payroll, HCM, Absence, and Time Tracking.
• Experience with ADP Smart Compliance.
