What you will do

• Establish and lead the Americas engineering organization across Systems, Hardware, Electronics, and Software Engineering.
• Own the Americas engineering portfolio, including roadmap development, delivery execution, product lifecycle, release management, and R&D budget management.
• Translate sensitive customer and market requirements into robust, general-purpose capabilities for the global product platform.
• Design and guide secure modular layers for requirements governed by SSA, ITAR, EAR, and other US government restrictions.
• Champion AI-augmented development, LLM-assisted coding, automated engineering workflows, and measurable productivity improvements.
• Coordinate Engineering, Product Management, Business Development, Customer Support, and Sydney-based global product teams.

Requirements

• Degree in Software, Electrical, or Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Geodesy, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams delivering complex field-deployed systems.
• 5+ years of experience in product-centric organizations, including product discovery, iterative delivery, and full-lifecycle product ownership in the defense industry.
• Practical experience with AI-augmented development tooling, LLM-based coding assistants, AI prototyping platforms, and agentic workflows.
• Experience in navigation, GNSS, PPP, PNT, robotics, autonomous systems, or related precision-technology domains.
• Must be a US citizen authorized to hold or currently holding a security clearance, and able to secure TS/SCI/SAP or another required clearance.

Nice to have

• MSc or advanced degree.
• Familiarity with US defense, maritime, or energy-sector regulatory markets.
• Founder or greenfield experience building teams, practices, and products in a new geography or business unit.
