What you will do

  • Manage daily operations, safety protocols, and mechanical configuration of the Advanced Cooling Lab.
  • Design and execute physical test plans for emerging data center cooling hardware and technologies.
  • Lead the development, tuning, and execution of digital twin and system-level simulation environments.
  • Calibrate predictive thermal and fluid-dynamic models using telemetry data and empirical laboratory results.
  • Partner with Platform Delivery and Site Operations on incident-related validation and research into new cooling methodologies.
  • Lead customer demonstrations and explain thermodynamic concepts, system resilience, and validation methods to technical and executive audiences.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Sciences, or a closely related physical science discipline.
  • Deep knowledge of heat transfer, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and complex mechanical cooling systems.
  • Experience with chiller plants, cooling distribution units, heat exchangers, or comparable cooling infrastructure.
  • Professional or academic experience with MATLAB/Simulink, Cadence, or equivalent computational modeling platforms.
  • Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain technical modeling data to technicians, executives, and enterprise clients.
