Forward Deployed Software Engineer - Tactical Edge

Location: Washington, D.C.; on-site at an office. Willingness to travel approximately 25–75% is required.

Salary: $135,000–$200,000 per year, excluding potential sign-on bonuses, benefits, and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Work directly with customers to understand complex operational problems and design data-driven solutions.
• Deploy and manage hirify.global software across varied hardware form factors and environments.
• Debug infrastructure, networking, and application issues across on-premise systems.
• Own end-to-end execution of high-stakes projects in small teams with minimal supervision.
• Discuss architecture with engineers, collaborate with developers to improve the product, and communicate with customer executives.
• Establish strategy for the team while making independent technical and operational decisions.

Requirements

• Strong engineering background, preferably in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or Physics.
• Experience with containers such as Docker or Podman and orchestration platforms such as OpenShift or Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with Linux systems, networking, and on-premise infrastructure.
• Programming experience with Python, Java, Bash, JavaScript, Go, or similar languages.
• Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, and front-end frameworks.
• Active US Security Clearance at or above the Top Secret level, or willingness to upgrade to Top Secret.
