Technical Engagement Specialist (Robotics)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain technical training curricula, including syllabi, presentations, hands-on labs, assessments, and e-learning modules.
• Deliver technical training through workshops, webinars, and self-paced learning management systems for international clients, distributors, and internal teams.
• Create customer onboarding and internal enablement programs covering product capabilities and new releases.
• Write, edit, and maintain user manuals, quick-start guides, API references, hardware integration guides, and knowledge-base articles.
• Translate engineering schematics, algorithms, and technical terminology into clear instructional content and visual guides.
• Work with R&D, Product Management, Customer Support, and Sales to improve documentation and training based on product updates and customer feedback.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a Technical Trainer, Product Trainer, or Instructional Designer, with substantial technical documentation writing.
• Experience in a technical B2B industry such as robotics, aerospace, defense, telecommunications, advanced manufacturing, or complex software/SaaS.
• Experience creating end-to-end training pathways, multimedia materials, and LMS-based learning programs.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain engineering concepts, including networking protocols, hardware interfaces, APIs, and serial communication.
• Proficiency with technical documentation tools such as MadCap Flare, Confluence, GitBook, Markdown, Adobe Creative Suite, and e-learning software.
• Ability to manage multiple training and documentation deadlines with strong attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communications, Education, or a related field.
• Basic familiarity with Python or C++ for documenting APIs and configuration interfaces.
• Exposure to inertial navigation systems, GPS/GNSS, robotics, or subsea acoustics.
• Availability for occasional domestic and international travel to deliver on-site enterprise training.
