Product Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid, full-time in the Barcelona office; possibility to move to the New York office.

hirify.global builds conversational AI agents for healthcare organizations, including voice agents for claims, benefits, prior authorizations, scheduling, and patient communications.

What you will do

• Design and build conversational AI products from ideation through production.
• Develop real-time voice agents that sound human, reason under latency constraints, and adapt to complex healthcare conversations.
• Create patient-facing products across voice, SMS, web, and other channels.
• Build and operate software for thousands of high-stakes daily patient interactions.
• Own product development end to end, including MVPs, production deployment, and success tracking.
• Engage with customers and contribute to product and interface exploration.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building products end to end.
• Strong understanding of FastAPI and Python, PostgreSQL, React, and TypeScript, or equivalent technologies.
• Experience managing large-scale distributed systems with asynchronous workload orchestration.
• Product mindset with an ability to sketch interfaces in Figma and speak with customers.
• Ownership, initiative, and willingness to work in a demanding startup environment.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
