Senior International Accountant

Base salary: $90,000–$115,000 per year

What you will do

• Oversee month-end close activities for international subsidiaries, including accounts payable and payroll coordination.
• Maintain accurate subsidiary profit and loss statements, balance sheets, reconciliations, and monthly variance analyses.
• Manage intercompany accounting and coordinate reconciliation across multiple entities.
• Work with international third-party accounting providers and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Oversee VAT, import/export filings, statutory reporting, and support U.S. and international audits.
• Use AI tools and agents to automate accounting workflows and improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive general ledger or international accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and accounting principles.
• Experience with international indirect tax frameworks and compliance requirements.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and prioritization skills, with the ability to work independently across global teams.

Nice to have

• Experience in multi-entity environments and intercompany accounting.
• Experience with Avalara or other tax engines.
