Functional Test Engineer (ASIC/SoC Debug)

What you will do

• Execute functional validation plans and complex system- and subsystem-level test suites across functional, performance, and power scenarios.
• Isolate, reproduce, and debug failures across hardware, firmware, software, and test environments.
• Perform root-cause analysis, drive failure resolution, validate fixes, and identify cross-domain interactions.
• Develop and maintain Python, LabView, and other automation tools for test execution, data collection, and CI flows.
• Use oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, JTAG, PLC, DAC cards, GDB, logging, and tracing tools during investigations.
• Collaborate with hardware, ASIC design, firmware, architecture, and software teams while maintaining bug, coverage, and debug documentation.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in system validation, functional testing, ASIC/SoC debugging, or related engineering roles.
• Knowledge of computer architecture, microprocessors, memory subsystems including DDR and PCIe, and protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, and USB.
• Proficiency in Python, LabView, or Ladder Logic, with working knowledge of C/C++ for firmware or driver-level debugging.
• Hands-on ASIC or SoC bring-up and post-silicon validation experience, plus exposure to CI pipelines and automated validation frameworks.
• Experience with Git, Jira, Bugzilla, or equivalent version-control and bug-tracking tools.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
