Senior Director, Regional Operations (Data Center)

Location: Remote; travel required. U.S. citizenship may be required for certain government contracts or security clearance reasons.

What you will do

• Oversee regional facilities operations, including employee management, hiring, training, procedures, Air, Power, Fire, Access, maintenance, capacity, assets, and operational KPI reporting.
• Support customer implementations, review contract and order terms, manage project costs, coordinate vendors, report project health, and ensure successful service delivery for key accounts.
• Manage customer environmental services, including scopes of work, proposals, connectivity and monitoring, Phase 6 support, and communication of environmental issues.
• Manage access and security operations, subcontractor agreements, incident resolution, post-mortems, and facility access levels.
• Lead regulatory compliance, business continuity updates, SAS 70, SOX, and SOC 2 audits, operational handbook updates, and personnel training.
• Own customer issue resolution, emergency communications, transition signoffs, annual OpEx and CapEx budgets, capital requests, and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• 9+ years of experience managing critical facilities, preferably in a data center environment.
• 12+ years of supervisory or personnel management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent work experience may substitute for the degree.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, time-management, customer-service, and judgment skills.
• Ability to direct work groups, manage concurrent priorities under pressure, develop and document procedures, and train personnel.
• Ability to identify, communicate, and resolve customer issues; take ownership of business performance and customer experience; and improve service and reduce expenses.
