Machine Learning Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote across the UK and Europe, aligned with European timezones

Salary: £95,000–£110,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Scale a forecasting system that produces half-hourly demand predictions for multiple restaurant chains.
• Own client launches end-to-end, including data validation, model selection, UAT, go-live, and post-launch monitoring.
• Deploy production ML systems that handle messy data, fail gracefully, and require ongoing performance monitoring.
• Work directly with clients and non-technical stakeholders to understand operational needs and measure business outcomes.
• Apply pragmatic, iterative solutions while managing parallel projects and broad ownership.
• Use AI development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot as part of the standard development workflow.

Requirements

• Production ML experience with deployed systems and monitoring requirements.
• Strong machine learning fundamentals and the ability to explain feature and model trade-offs.
• Experience perhirify.globallly owning an ML deployment from business idea through production.
• Client-facing deployment experience and confidence working with non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong Python programming skills, including NumPy and scikit-learn.
• Daily practical use of AI development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or equivalent.

Nice to have

• Experience with forecasting, time series, or demand planning.
• Experience with Python, scikit-learn, MLflow, Docker, and GCP.
• Experience working in a small team with broad ownership and frequent context switching.
