Technical Lead / Platform Engineer (AI)

Location: Palo Alto, United States; hybrid with onsite work required 3 days per week

Salary: Up to $300,000 annually, plus equity and benefits

Company

Builds generative AI infrastructure for healthcare, including AI governance guardrails, healthcare-specific agents, and real-time algorithm monitoring.

What you will do

• Define and implement the architecture of a generative AI healthcare SaaS platform.
• Lead development and integration of core platform services.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable production code.
• Create technical documentation and manage timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
• Guide and mentor junior engineers while directing engineering work.
• Contribute to infrastructure automation, monitoring, alerting, and platform reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Technical Lead directing the work of others.
• Production experience building generative AI applications or platforms at scale.
• Expert Python skills, solid TypeScript or Java skills, and experience with a compiled language such as Go or Rust.
• Deep understanding of microservices, RESTful APIs, cloud platforms, Terraform, DevOps, CI/CD, monitoring, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Able to work onsite in Palo Alto 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, and Azure, especially GCP.
• Familiarity with React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Previous healthcare industry experience.
