Director, Configure-To-Order (CTO) Architect

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States; primarily onsite at the Santa Clara office

Annual base salary: $225,000–$281,000 USD, with potential incentive pay and/or equity.

What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end CTO/CPQ architecture, technical roadmap, technology selection, and implementation strategy.
• Design and govern integrations across CPQ, CRM, ERP, PLM, order management, and supply chain systems.
• Define product and service models, BOM structures, pricing logic, configuration rules, and compatibility dependencies.
• Establish governance and standardization for configuration rules, master data, subscriptions, one-time purchases, and service models.
• Support transformative initiatives migrating legacy systems and business processes to a CTO operating model.
• Architect maintainable CPQ capabilities that enable operations and administrative teams to manage product changes with minimal IT dependency.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related quantitative or technical field.
• At least 10 years of progressive IT experience with large-scale enterprise applications and integrated platforms.
• Strong knowledge of go-to-market, subscription and recurring revenue management, and end-to-end ERP/order-to-cash processes.
• Hands-on experience with CTO/CPQ data constructs, master data, product models, BOMs, configuration rules, and compatibility logic.
• Experience with APIs, middleware, event-driven architectures, and master data flows.
• Ability to work onsite at the Santa Clara, California office in accordance with company policies.
