Forward Deployed Software Engineer

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; Workplace: On-site

What you will do

• Work directly with customers to understand complex operational problems and design data-driven solutions.
• Own the end-to-end execution of high-stakes projects in small teams with minimal supervision.
• Discuss architecture, process large-scale data, and build custom web applications.
• Collaborate with engineers, product teams, Deployment Strategists, customer executives, and other stakeholders.
• Establish technical and team strategy while making independent decisions and adapting to evolving objectives.
• Travel to client sites as needed, with travel of approximately 25–50% preferred depending on the team and location.

Requirements

• Strong engineering background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, C++, TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar languages.
• Analytical problem-solving skills involving data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, and front-end frameworks.
• Experience or interest in using large-scale data to solve business problems.
• Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical people, work independently, and make decisions with minimal supervision.
• Security clearance or the ability to obtain clearance and fluent Dutch are required.
