Software Engineer (Robotics)

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; onsite five days a week

hirify.global builds robotics and software for autonomous, software-defined construction, including its Atrium operating system for construction.

What you will do

• Ship features across the full stack, from robot actuator firmware and Rust services to web interfaces.
• Track down and resolve production issues such as memory leaks, network backpressure, race conditions, and differences between robots and simulations.
• Own bare-metal infrastructure, NixOS configurations, and deployment tooling for robots and services.
• Build fleet-wide observability to identify and diagnose robot and service failures.
• Create debugging, data visualization, and internal platform tools that improve team effectiveness.
• Improve data infrastructure, including the typed document database and ClickHouse.

Requirements

• Industry experience building and deploying production systems in multiple languages.
• Experience with Linux systems and conventions, including diagnosing issues over SSH.
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as UDP, TCP, and WebSockets.
• Strong ownership, autonomy, and ability to drive projects from start to finish in a changing environment.
• Strong computer science or mathematics foundation.

Nice to have

• Rust experience.
• Understanding of linear algebra and 3D transformations.
• Background as a technical founder, CTO, or founding engineer.
