Fullstack Software Engineer (Java/Angular)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build intuitive, responsive user interfaces with Angular and modern web technologies.
• Contribute to architecture supporting high availability, scalability, redundancy, and disaster recovery.
• Deliver features through an Agile Scrum process in collaboration with Product Owners, Architects, DevOps engineers, and developers.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and continuous improvement.
• Support existing products and contribute to the modernization roadmap using AI-assisted development tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
• Fluency in Dutch and English.
• 5+ years of professional backend development experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• 5+ years of frontend development experience with Angular, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related technologies.
• Experience with distributed microservices applications, Docker, Kubernetes, and relational or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MariaDB.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and software quality skills, plus experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kafka, messaging, and event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, SSL/TLS, Linux, and security best practices.
• Experience with Helm, Ansible, shell scripting, and Python.
• Exposure to telecommunications, public safety, emergency management, or mission-critical systems.
