Data Scientist – AI & Predictive Analytics

Salary: $140,300–$187,000 per year

What you will do

• Build machine learning models to identify early indicators of hard disk drive degradation.
• Develop automated diagnostic algorithms in Python.
• Analyze more than 10 TB of manufacturing and telemetry data generated daily by enterprise storage systems.
• Create data visualization and engineering analysis tools.
• Support root cause investigations through statistical analysis.
• Improve diagnostic software through automation, refactoring, and production deployment of predictive analytics solutions.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related engineering discipline.
• Python, machine learning, data analytics, and statistical analysis.
• SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Analytical problem-solving skills and software development fundamentals.
• Engineering mindset and ability to collaborate across hardware, firmware, and software disciplines.
• Typically suited to candidates with approximately 0–2+ years of relevant professional experience.

Nice to have

• Hadoop, Hive, Ruby, front-end development, web applications, or data visualization.
• Interest in storage systems and hard disk drive technology.
