Staff I Software Engineer SAP

Location: Krakow, Poland; office attendance at least 3 days a week for candidates within a reasonable commuting distance

Salary: PLN 336,000–420,000 per year

What you will do

• Build, test, troubleshoot, optimize, scale, release, maintain, and improve SAP ABAP applications.
• Develop integrations between SAP solutions and the hirify.global Cloud, focusing on finance and internal trade processes.
• Analyze requirements, design technical solutions, estimate scope, and deliver scalable software across the full development lifecycle.
• Provide SAP service expertise, including performance tuning, deployment, release support, and customer support outside regular business hours when required.
• Act as a primary technical contact, collaborate with product and engineering teams, and translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, support Scrum ceremonies, and promote coding and quality standards.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in SAP ABAP programming and planning.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proficiency with SAP S/4HANA 2022+ and ECC 6.0, including hands-on SAP Finance experience with journal postings and related processes.
• Advanced ABAP object-oriented programming, MVC architecture, SOLID principles, design patterns, CDS views, and extensibility options.
• Experience with ABAP Development Tools in Eclipse, HANA Query Analyzer, classic enhancement techniques, SAP Clean Core standards, and SAP web services.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, optimization, communication, documentation, and customer-support skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP BTP, SAP BTP ABAP Environment, RAP, behavior and service definitions, and cloud-native applications.
• Automated testing experience with tools or languages such as C# and Selenium.
• Experience with ABAP for FI, transaction clearing, special ledger postings, contract accounting postings, and Fiori UI development.
