Salary: $215,270–$265,800 annually, plus equity

What you will do

  • Own the lifecycle of spatial AI and visual navigation features, from camera integration and image processing through architecture, algorithm design, deployment, and production operation.
  • Research, evaluate, and integrate computer vision, deep learning, SLAM, 3D reconstruction, and spatial navigation methods for accurate large-scale indoor maps.
  • Build semantic mapping pipelines that identify structural elements, zones, and objects, support dynamic map updates, and manage map versions and consistency.
  • Develop rigorous benchmarking for accuracy, latency, compute footprint, and reliability across internal algorithms, commercial solutions, and vendor technologies.
  • Improve real-time localization and multi-agent tracking by fusing camera data with GNSS, IMU, wheel odometry, and other positioning signals, including optimization for constrained edge devices.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and UI engineers, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to architecture, technical strategy, and roadmap planning.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional algorithm and software development experience, with significant depth in applied research, computer vision, or robotics.
  • Expertise in modern C++14 or later and Python, including productionizing AI prototypes built with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Expertise with ROS1 or ROS2, Visual SLAM, 3D reconstruction, mapping architectures, multi-view geometry, and camera calibration.
  • Experience deploying semantic segmentation and object detection in real-world environments, and fusing vision with IMU and GNSS data.
  • Ability to turn research and business goals into actionable engineering plans, schedules, and milestones.
  • MS or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

  • Experience optimizing vision models for edge devices with TensorRT, ONNX, or platform-specific accelerators.
  • Experience with multi-object tracking and ReID in dynamic environments.
  • Familiarity with large-scale point clouds, mesh generation, NeRFs, or Gaussian Splatting.
