Junior Researcher / Postdoctoral Researcher in Offshore Geotechnics (Offshore Wind Foundations)

Location: Netherlands; relocation to the Netherlands may be required

Salary: €3,706–€5,760 per month, in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities.

What you will do

• Conduct literature reviews on offshore geotechnics and offshore wind foundation systems.
• Process and analyse research data.
• Support numerical modelling and analytical research.
• Support laboratory and centrifuge testing.
• Prepare technical documentation, research reports, presentations, and scientific publications.
• For postdoctoral appointment, independently develop and conduct research, interpret results, and contribute to collaborative projects.

Requirements

• MSc degree in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, offshore engineering, or a related field.
• Interest in offshore wind foundations and offshore geotechnical engineering.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with data analysis, numerical modelling, or programming using MATLAB, Python, or similar tools.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills are required.
• Ability to work independently and contribute effectively to a research team. A PhD and relevant scientific research experience are additionally required for postdoctoral appointment.
