Staff II Software Engineer (Agentic AI)

Location: Bengaluru; candidates within a reasonable commute to a hirify.global office must work onsite at least 3 days a week

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end architecture and long-term evolution of highly extensible, modular platform applications.
• Architect an agentic AI platform including an agent registry, policy engine, metrics ingestion pipeline, anomaly detection, and human-in-the-loop orchestration.
• Remain deeply hands-on by writing code, creating design sketches, resolving integration challenges, and debugging production issues.
• Fine-tune, prompt-engineer, and evaluate foundation models such as Gemini, GPT, and Claude for accounting-domain tasks.
• Guide Staff Engineers and Technical Leads through architecture sessions, design reviews, coaching, and hands-on mentorship.
• Establish observability, CI/CD, progressive delivery, quality gates, rollback paths, incident response, and production-readiness practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• 15+ years of software engineering experience with strong distributed-systems depth across enterprise platforms.
• Experience architecting and deploying complex, production-grade systems at scale, preferably in regulated industries.
• Hands-on expertise with .NET, C#, Python, SQL Server, and Snowflake.
• Experience guiding Staff Engineers and Technical Leads, setting architecture direction, reviewing designs, and unblocking technical challenges.
• Strong grounding in observability and production monitoring, including metrics, logging, distributed tracing, and dashboards.

Nice to have

• FinTech or financial services domain experience.
• Experience with Google Vertex AI Agent Builder or similar managed agent platforms.
• Experience building, orchestrating, or governing AI agents and generative AI systems, including prompt engineering, model evaluation, and safety guardrails.
• Familiarity with DORA metrics and data-driven delivery improvement.
