Senior / Lead Platform Forward Deployed Engineer - Cogentiq I2C (Agentic AI)

hirify.global develops Cogentiq I2C, an agentic AI platform for invoice-to-cash operations including collections, cash application, deductions, credit risk, and invoice management.

What you will do

• Own deployment architecture for client installations from environment readiness through hypercare, including bundle strategy, environment topology, release sequencing, and validation sign-off.
• Manage Unity Catalog, metastore provisioning, storage decisions, access models, and client governance requirements.
• Define platform engineering standards for idempotent deployments, fail-fast handling, parameterization, and configuration management.
• Architect shared utilities and versioned wheel packages across Databricks, Fabric, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and storage back ends.
• Design ingestion, checkpointing, retry, alerting, and database writeback strategies, then lead incident response during deployments and hypercare.
• Own the deployment playbook and coach junior Platform FDEs toward deployment ownership.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in data platform or deployment engineering, including 2+ years deploying into client-controlled or regulated environments.
• Deep experience with Azure Databricks Asset Bundles, workflows, Unity Catalog, metastore governance, clusters, libraries, service-principal automation, and the CLI.
• Strong Python and SQL skills, with the ability to assess idempotency, failure behavior, and configuration hygiene in pipeline code.
• Production PostgreSQL experience, including schema evolution, write reliability, and connection behavior under load.
• Experience with Git-based CI/CD, semantic versioning, artifact repositories, and backward compatibility across platform components.
• Knowledge of order-to-cash and accounts receivable data in Dynamics 365 or SAP, plus the ability to communicate with client IT and finance stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Fabric experience.
• Observability design with OpenTelemetry or Application Insights.
• Experience taking a data product through pilots at multiple clients in parallel.
