Senior Social Content Creator (Science)

Location: Redwood City, California, United States; hybrid with onsite work required at least 60% of the working month, approximately 3 days per week.

Salary: $106,000–$133,000 base pay per year, plus potential eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Brainstorm, shoot, edit, and produce social-first videos, carousels, photos, and other content formats.
• Translate complex scientific and technical work into clear, compelling stories for social channels.
• Write copy and maintain Biohub’s social voice, tone, brand style, and creative standards.
• Track social trends, platform features, algorithm changes, content performance, and community engagement.
• Collaborate with social media, creative, brand, and science communications teams to source and shape content.
• Capture content and provide on-the-ground social support at events, launches, and conferences.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience creating, editing, and publishing social-first content, preferably at a brand or agency.
• Ability to translate complex topics into engaging content.
• Understanding of content adaptation for LinkedIn, X, and Instagram.
• Familiarity with Adobe Suite, Canva, CapCut, or native in-app editing tools.
• Strong writing skills and an eye for the relationship between copy and visuals.
• Ability to work in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment with multiple stakeholders.

• Interest in science, technology, or mission-driven work; a science background is not required.
