Senior Copywriter (Social)

Location: Kansas City, Missouri, United States; hybrid work with teams in the office an average of four days per week

Salary: $60,000–$140,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Develop campaign concepts grounded in human insight, cultural relevance, and platform behavior.
• Write captions, on-screen text, content series, campaigns, creator briefs, scripts, and other social-first formats.
• Adapt brand voices and tones across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Pinterest, and other platforms.
• Partner with an Art Director and collaborate with creative leads, strategists, producers, social managers, and content creators.
• Participate in brainstorms, writers’ rooms, and quick-turn ideation.
• Present creative work internally and externally while tracking trends, memes, formats, and platform language.

Requirements

• Senior-level copywriting experience with a portfolio demonstrating social work, campaign thinking, and tonal range.
• Experience creating conceptual campaigns and social-first brand activations.
• Deep understanding of writing for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Pinterest, and similar platforms.
• Experience shaping brand voice and tone across formats and content types.
• Ability to turn insights into stories, scripts, and engaging content formats.
• Strong communication, organization, collaboration, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with influencer and content creator workstreams.
• Comfort with lo-fi content creation and editing apps.
• A social presence with regularly published original content.
