DevOps Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Onsite 4–5 days per week at an office in Charlotte, North Carolina; Fremont, California; or Columbia, South Carolina, United States. Regular in-person meetings, events, and occasional business travel are required.

Salary: $120,000–$145,000 annual base salary; California base salary range: $132,000–$159,500. Eligible for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Maintain and improve cloud infrastructure using modern infrastructure as code practices.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and secure software deployments.
• Build and operate containerized infrastructure with Docker, Kubernetes, and EKS.
• Develop automation scripts and tooling to reduce operational toil and improve reliability.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions for troubleshooting and incident response.
• Collaborate with software development, systems integration, and security teams while contributing to the internal developer portal.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience as a DevOps engineer, system administrator, or software engineer.
• Working knowledge of Python, Shell, Go, Ruby, or another scripting or programming language.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD concepts, and at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Exposure to infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Crossplane, Pulumi, or CDK.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, learning, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
